This is most definitely my most favorite time of year; the changing of the season, cooler temps (although it’s stayed in the 80’s so far – weird!), and that one particular day… Everyone dresses up… Free candy… What’s it called again? Oh, right, HALLOWEEN!
I’m so excited to be sharing a fun, quick, and easy Halloween costume for the Sew Much Fun Blog Hop from Faith and Fabric! Follow along to see other great Halloween crafts and projects from fellow bloggers.
Boo is right. My machine has been in the shop on a timing issue, so sadly my dreams of making that beautiful ball gown for The Bean or that epic superhero costume for The Bubb has been dashed. But that doesn’t mean I can’t get my craft on still!
My love for Rebecca Page is deep, so it’s no wonder that I chose one of her awesome patterns to whip up this season: the Spook-tastic Cape and Hat. (aff) This fantastic pattern requires hardly any sewing, and if you’re really crafty (*ahem* handy with a glue gun), you don’t need to sew anything at all. Yay! From start to finish, it took me about 2 hours to complete everything. Seriously, so easy.
Oh, and it’s on sale right now for $5! Now that is a treat!
Trick r’ Treat
I can’t wait to rock this simple but awesome cape on Halloween. i was thinking of embellishing it with glow in the dark paint or make it light up with some fairy lights or el wire. The possibilities truly are endless. If you decide to make one for yourself, give me a shout out at @ihavepurplehair so we can be witchy spidies together!
